Spenta entered the Event Management space in 2008 when it acquired Marwar magazine and event properties from Arpan Publishing. Today, Spenta owns and manages the following event properties:
- Marwar Mega Wedding Show: Held in the cities of Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad every year, the Marwar Mega Wedding Show brings together manufacturers and retailers of all wedding related products and services under one roof. The show has been seeing increasing participation from exhibitors and visitors year-on-year.
- Marwar Celebrations Show: Encouraged by the success of the Mega Wedding Show, Marwar magazine conceptualized and launched the Marwar Celebrations Show, which brings together all manufacturers and retailers of lifestyle related products and services to the delight of the elitist section of society and their aspirants in cities such as Mumbai, Jaipur and Bengaluru.
- Mumbai International Boat Show: In 2009, Spenta acquired a majority stake in Blue Water Publications Private Limited, publishers of India Boating Magazine, and Mumbai International Boat Show Private Limited. India Boating Magazine was launched by Blue Water Publications in 2007 to fulfill the information needs of India’s influential and growing yacht and boating community. The Mumbai International Boat Show, which is supported by the Government of Maharashtra, is the third and final ‘official’ calendar event in Mumbai, after the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon and The Times of India Mumbai Festival. Now in its 4th year, the Mumbai International Boat Show has been enjoying phenomenal success year-on-year and is today seen as being on par with the annual calendar boat shows in Cannes, Dubai, Genoa, London, Miami and Sydney.
- The Smart Manager: The Smart Manager unveiled its special issue with new layouts on ethics and CSR through a high-profile panel discussion at The Trident, Mumbai, on 3rd June 2011. The panel discussion, titled 'Ethics and CSR: The Strategy Debate', was moderated by Abha Bakaya (Associate Editor with exclusive television partner Bloomberg UTV) and followed a keynote address by Keki Mistry (Vice Chairman & CEO, HDFC Limited). Amit Chandra (Managing Director, Bain Capital India), Anu Aga (Director, Thermax), Harsh Mariwala (Chairman & Managing Director, Marico Limited), Vinay Somani (Trustee, Karmayog) and Rita Soni (CEO, NASSCOM Foundation) participated in the lively debate that covered subjects ranging from strategy replacing passion in CSR to the government's contentious mandatory CSR law. Members of the audience included eminent personalities such as Sam Balsara (Chairman & Managing Director, Madison World), MG Parameswaran (Executive Director & CEO, Draftfcb + Ulka Advertising), Nadir Godrej (Managing Director of Godrej Industries and Chairman, Godrej Agrovet), Saroj K.
