A Tribute to Titans For over two decades Marwar magazine has been profiling the culture, achievements and the rich heritage of the Marwari community. Marwar, in essence, stands out for its portraiture of a community known equally for its wealth as well as its contributions in diverse fields. Keeping in mind the pioneering role played by the Marwari community in laying the bedrock of Indian industry, not to forget its unforgettable contributions in other fields; over the last few years we have endeavoured to celebrate larger-than-life Marwari personalities through a series of tribute features published in Marwar. We felt that the wealth of information that these stories bring-which in essence constitutes a glowing chapter of Marwari heritage-deserves to be immortalised. To do this, we have compiled them in an illustrated coffee table book titled A Tribute to Titans - The Founding Fathers of Marwari Enterprise, which apart from highlighting these founding fathers, also encapsulates the evolution of Marwari enterprise from the viewpoint of their roles in shaping Indian industry.
